Weekly Crime Reports: Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar

Weekly crime reports from the Sheriff’s Department’s North Coastal Station for the period April 11-18 for the cities of Encinitas, Del Mar and Solana Beach. All those arrested on these crime reports are presumed innocent.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for vandalism at 2:03 PM. April 11 at Stevens Ave., Solana Beach. A 52-year-old female victim reported car damage ($ 1,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for the crime of fraud at 15:52. April 11 at Meadow Glen Lane, Encinitas. A 73-year-old victim reported the theft of an ID card.

Chelsea Townsend, 40, was arrested at 11:52 PM. April 11 at Robley Place in Cardiff by the Sea and booked at Vista Detention Center on suspicion of offenses against peacekeepers, spouse beating and violation of a court order.

Tony Castro, 48, was arrested at 2:23 PM. April 11 on Encinitas Blvd., Encinitas and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a public drinking offense.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the break-in call at 11:44 am on April 11 at De La Valle, Solana Beach. The victim, 19, reported the theft of two credit cards, ID card ($ 38), three blankets ($ 60), cash ($ 100), three wallets ($ 375), an iPhone 8 ($ 500) and other items ( $ 3,600).

Joshua Creighton, 25, was arrested at 10:15 PM. On April 11, at Cerro St., Encinitas, and credited to San Diego Central Prison on suspicion of possessing metal knuckles.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the property call at 7:07 pm. April 11 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The officer found a variety of prescription and over-the-counter antidepressants and tranquilizers.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the break-in call at 3:11 am on April 11 in De La Valle, Solana Beach. A 34-year-old man reported various tools stolen ($ 1,500).

Jeanu Azemi, 25, was arrested on April 11 at 4:40 am on Jimmy Durante Blvd. in Del Mar and booked at Vista Detention Center on suspicion of committing an offense under another agency’s order.

Anthony Rodriguez, 36, was arrested on April 11 at 11:34 am in the North River Road, Oceanside, and detained at Vista Detention Center on suspicion of a crime under a warrant from another agency.

Chelsea Townsend, 40, was arrested at 8:34 PM. On April 12 on South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and checked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a public drunkenness offense.

Trevor Peringer, 42, was called and released for a controlled substance offense at 1:24 PM. April 12 at North Highway 101, Encinitas.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for burglary, ad at 7:18 on April 12 in Paseo De Las Flores, Encinitas. The victim, the shop, reported various stolen tools ($ 1,600).

Sheriff’s deputies answered the call for a break-in at the apartment at 11:26 pm. April 12 at Ocean View Ave., Del Mar. A 57-year-old male victim reported stolen an Ebel watch ($ 4,000), various jewelry ($ 25,000), and earrings ($ 1,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the break-in call at 11:35 am on April 12 on North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. A 31-year-old male victim reported theft of a computer ($ 1), a music device ($ 2), two cameras ($ 3), and Levis clothing ($ 10).

Jesse Sanders, 22, was arrested on April 12 at 11:30 am on South Oceanside Blvd. in Oceanside and booked into Vista Detention Center on suspicion of a crime under another agency’s warrant.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the summons for petty offense, shoplifting at 2:25 pm. April 12 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The store victim reported two pairs of shoes stolen ($ 187).

Stacey Eaton, 41, was arrested at 6:10 PM. On April 12, at San Elijo Ave., Cardiff by the Sea, he checked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor, contempt for a court, and a crime designed to harm an elderly adult.

Dylan Parks, 26, was arrested at 8 a.m. on April 13 on La Costa Ave. in Carlsbad and booked at Vista Detention Center on suspicion of a misdemeanor under a court order from another agency and a court order for a crime.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a fraudulent offense on April 13 at 10:44 am on Calle De Adele in Encinitas. The victim, a 44-year-old woman, reported the theft of her ID card.

Rodrigo Gaerian, 33, was arrested at 12:15. April 13 at Ocean Cove Drive, Encinitas, and credited to a San Diego jail on suspicion of a controlled-substance offense, controlled-substance prescription, and the crime of bringing controlled substances into prison.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for theft of the offense at 5:48 pm. April 13 at South Highway 101, Solana Beach. Victim, 26, reported credit card, keys ($ 1), ID card ($ 25), and purse ($ 40) stolen.

James Ceglia, 31, was arrested at 17:47. April 13 at Stevens Ave., Solana Beach, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for suspicion of a drunk offense.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for infraction, shoplifting at 21:00. April 13 at Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas. The store victim reported three liquors ($ 130) stolen.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for the crime of grand theft at 8:38 pm. April 13 at Villa Cardiff Drive, Encinitas. A 58-year-old woman reported the theft of an ID card ($ 25), cash ($ 200), an iPhone ($ 800), and a MacBook Air ($ 2,000).

Michael Dowe, 59, was called and released for the infraction on an active warrant at 10:07 am on April 14 on Oceanside Blvd., Oceanside.

Kenneth Butts, 50, was arrested at 8:02 PM. April 14 on South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of an offense under another agency order.

Joshua Hauck, 40, was called and fired for possession of controlled substance accessories at 1:47 a.m. on April 14 at Camino Del Mar in Del Mar.

Amy Brownell, 45, was recalled and fired for the offense of possession of a controlled substance accessory at 7:55 am on April 14 in Town Center Drive, Encinitas. Eric Colon, 41, was called and fired for possession of controlled substances at 7:55 am on April 14 in Town Center Drive, Encinitas.

Douglas Revere, 49, was arrested on April 14 at 11:35 a.m. in Sharp Place in Encinitas and placed in San Diego central prison on suspicion of the offense of possessing controlled-substance accessories.

Victor Alva, 30, was arrested at 11:03 PM. on April 14 in Sarasan, Encinitas and credited to Vista Detention Center on suspicion of a drunk offense.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a grand theft offense at 9:04 am on April 14 at Montgomery Ave., Encinitas. A victim in a store reported the theft of garden equipment ($ 4,662).

Tony Castro, 48, was arrested at 15:33. On April 15, at the North Coast Highway, Encinitas, he checked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a public drinking offense and possession of controlled substance accessories.

Richard Vanevery, 54, was arrested on April 15 at 10:45 am on Santa Fe Drive in Encinitas and detained at San Diego Central Prison on suspicion of a public drinking offense.

Ruben Reyes, 37, and Michael Kortz, 40, were arrested on April 15 at 12:57 PM in Del La Valle, Solana Beach, and sentenced to arrest at San Diego Central Prison on suspicion of a public drinking offense.

Juan Garcia Soria, 35, was arrested on April 15 at 4:05 a.m. in Camino Del Mar in Del Mar and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of having committed the crime of avoiding a peacekeeper with willful disregard for security.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for theft of the vehicle on April 15 at 9:43 am on Star Jasmine Lane in Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen a gray four-door sedan ($ 24,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the burglary’s call at 11:46 AM on April 15 at Val Sereno Drive in Encinitas. The victim, 45, reported five credit cards, wallet ($ 15), ID card ($ 25) and cash ($ 400) stolen.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the burglary’s call, ad at 21:33. April 15 at Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach. A 51-year-old woman reported iPhone 11 stolen ($ 200).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for the crime of grand theft at 10:48 pm. April 15 in Caminito Septimo, Encinitas. A 59-year-old man reported a motorcycle stolen ($ 2,500).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the burglary’s call at 1:00 PM. April 16 in Julita, Encinitas. A 58-year-old woman reported the theft of a salvaged four-door sedan, keys ($ 50), a bag ($ 80), various items ($ 350), and a purse ($ 3,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for assault at 10:12 PM. April 16 at Village Park Way. A 37-year-old man reported theft of cash ($ 1) and cigarettes ($ 1).

Evan Shapiro, 23, was called up and released for the 11:15 am infraction on April 16 at Stratford Court, Del Mar.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to an apartment burglary call at 11:13 am on April 17 in Aldersgate Road, Encinitas. A 23-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman reported stolen a Super 37 bike ($ 1,495), cash ($ 20), and ID ($ 1).

Daniel Lofton, 25, was arrested on April 17 at 3:37 a.m. in East D St., Encinitas and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a public drinking offense.

Josue Gonzalez, 31, was arrested at 3:50 a.m. on April 17 in Leucadia, Encinitas, and booked into Vista Correctional Facility on suspicion of a public drinking offense.

Manuel Rivadeneyra, 46, was arrested at 20:53. April 17 at Hermes Ave., Encinitas, and checked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a public drinking offense.

Melissa Baliff, 38, was arrested on April 18 at 11:28 am on Birmingham Drive in Cardiff by the sea and detained in Vista on suspicion of controlled substances and shoplifting. Gas station victim reported various food items stolen ($ 1).
