This Mansion Just Becomes The Most Expensive House For Sale in Encinitas. Look Inside

A beach house designed by the famous Mission Hills architect, who also built singer Alicia Keys’ elegant La Jolla mansion, has just landed on the market in Encinitas and, in doing so, has become the most expensive house ever put up for sale in the coastal city, according to CNBC.

Complete with unobstructed ocean views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an infinity pool from which it got its name, the Crescent House boasts over 18,000 square feet of sleek design and modern touches. With four bedrooms and six bathrooms (four full and two half), the house serves as an elegant living space with accommodations for guests or family life.

A half-spiral staircase leads residents and guests from the large common rooms to the tall bedrooms. West-facing windows that touch the ceiling offer a full view of the ocean sunset.

Wallace Cunningham, three-time designer of Architectural Digest Top 100, is the artist behind the four-bedroom house on Neptune Avenue. The house was named the Crescent House for its moon-shaped infinity pool, which greets visitors as they enter.

“The design is not based on a preconceived idea, it is really a journey and a collection of information,” Cunningham said in a press release. “It is a sculpture of movement, space and light that acts on your senses and emotions”.

It took three years to build and was completed in 2003.

So how much for this glamorous and seaside life? If you have $ 23.5 million lying around, this property could be yours. The house’s eight-figure asking price is more than double what it was selling less than six years ago, CNBC said.
