Chamber, city planning for Senior Expo

The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and the city of Encinitas will host a Senior Expo, “Embracing Retirement,” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive. The Senior Expo gives local businesses and services an opportunity to meet those who are planning to retire, those who are retired and their families who are aging. Activities include breakfast hosted by Encinitas Rotary’s Home Team, refreshments, an Embracing retirement commemorative bag and photo opportunity. Exhibitor registration is now open. The Escondido school district is holding a hiring event

Escondido Union School District is holding a Hiring event from 8:30 a.m. to noon on January 24 at the Carilyn Gilbert Education Center, 2310 Aldergrove Ave. Talk to school district personnel and apply for various positions. A fish restaurant opened at the Five Guys site

California Fish Grill has opened at 1348 W. Valley Pkwy., Suite A, formerly the location of Five Guys. Grand opening Thursday at the coffee shop
