Pedestrians were struck and killed by an AMTRAK train in Encinitas on Sunday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
The crash happened near a Leucadia Boulevard grade crossroads in Encinitas at 10:52 a.m., officials said. Upon arrival, the subject of the crash was found dead, SDSO said.
Delegates are investigating the incident and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the method of death.
