Growing up watching “Wheel of Fortune” at the dinner table every night with her mom, Encinitas resident Jenn Varteressian showed up on the long -distance sports screen in a show that will air today Wednesday, April 13 (NBC at 7 p.m.).
“It was a huge surprise to my mother,” said Varteressian, who works as a director of planning development for Virgin Pulse, a healthcare company. “He liked it. It’s nice to be able to go in his glory.”
He applied online, then had the opportunity to be interviewed via Zoom. The tape was made in December.
